📍 Are you an accountant who feels stuck in your career?
Do you sometimes feel like you’re working hard but not really moving forward?
If yes, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. The truth is – if you really want to grow, you need to surround yourself with the right community. And that’s exactly why I created The Accountant Hub and The Accountant Show.
Today, I want to introduce myself, share my story, and welcome you to this journey.
Who Am I?
Hello and welcome, dear accountants, to the very first episode of The Accountant Show.
I’m Divyesh Dave, your fellow accountant, podcast host, and the founder of The Accountant Hub.
I’ve been working in the accounting and finance field for more than 15 years. I started my career back in 2011 with a commerce degree. Honestly, in the beginning, I often felt like just another “mediocre” accountant. I didn’t hold a professional degree, and my career moved forward slowly, one step at a time.
But along the way, I realized something powerful – if you want to grow fast, you need to keep learning, apply those learnings, and share them with others. That shift completely changed my journey.
The Turning Point: My COVID Story
Like many of you, I faced one of the hardest times in 2021 during COVID-19.
I lost my job.
I caught COVID myself and was quarantined at home.
My health was suffering, and I had no clear path for my future.
It was scary. I reached out to friends and colleagues, asking for opportunities. But inside, I knew I had two choices – give up or grow.
I chose growth.
During quarantine, I started consuming positive content from mentors like Jim Rohn , Tony Robbins and others, which helped me stay strong mentally. At the same time, I began building my network on LinkedIn, connecting with accountants and finance professionals across the world.
That small step eventually opened doors. I recovered, got a new job, and later received an international opportunity in Dubai. Looking back, I can confidently say – networking and continuous learning changed everything for me.
Why I Started The Accountant Hub
As I kept learning, I started sharing small golden nuggets on LinkedIn. Surprisingly, people noticed. Many accountants messaged me saying they were struggling with the same challenges – lack of clarity, lack of opportunities, and most importantly, lack of community.
That’s when it clicked.
I realized we accountants don’t just need books, courses, or exams. We need a community – a safe space to learn together, grow together, and support each other.
That’s why I founded The Accountant Hub.
First came the blog: theaccountanthub.com
Then came the VIP LinkedIn group.
And now, The Accountant Show podcast.
